Too busy to do a Will? Think again…

It is important to have your Will in place and up to date to ensure your family know your wishes and that they are achieved after you pass with none overlooked.

Finding the time to sit down with a lawyer to complete your Will can take time and that time is not always easy to find in a busy schedule. This is why some people choose a “do it yourself” type of Will. The problem with a do it yourself type of Will is that some things could be missed, resulting in your wishes not being completely fulfilled.

Your Will may be simple and straight forward or it may be a bit more complex, perhaps involving a business, a blended family or a trust. Whatever your needs, we can accommodate it and create a Will personal to you and your circumstances.

We have set up an online system that gives you the opportunity to choose the best method for you. If your Will is simple, one path enables you to complete a Will which is then sent to us for review. Once settled, we then arrange a meeting for you to sign your Will and the process is finished.

On the other hand, if your Will is more complex, the second path allows you to complete the information that forms your Will at your own pace. You can save your progress and come back to it at a later time when you have had the chance to consider the information you want to include. When you are finished, all is submitted to us and we create your Will based on the information that you have provided.

Either pathway saves time and the back-and-forth of multiple meetings, emails or telephone calls to discuss your wants and needs. We receive all of the information at once and we can then either review and attend to signing with you, or prepare your Will with the best information possible the first time, send it to you for your approval, make adjustments as needed and then arrange for signing to occur.

Having your Will in place and up to date takes the pressure off your family after you pass and will give you peace of mind that your affairs are in order and your family will be taken care of.
